You will be aware of the spiraling cost of oil, which has now risen to an unprecedented high level. The oil refineries and wholesalers have not been slow in passing these cost increases straight down the supply chain and as LPG (propane & butane) are derivatives of oil they are subject to the same levels of pricing.

As a consequence we have no other alternative than to apply a surcharge of 0.06p per kilo (the equivalent of about £0.03 per litre) on propane and butane products with effect from the 15th November 2007.

Along with the industry analysts and in keeping with the news headlines, it is our belief that these prices will remain at these high levels for the foreseeable future. We do not have a crystal ball and are unable to predict the rise and fall of the oil price and will therefore review this surcharge after consultations with the refineries on a monthly basis. Future alterations to the surcharge will be announced via this site and shown separately on our advice note and invoice system.

As a valued customer we thank you for continuing support during these difficult and unprecedented times.
