8th July 2008
With the current energy and oil price crisis continuing, the cost of LPG (Propane and Butane) continues to escalate alarmingly in price from the oil refineries. Our best endeavours at keeping down our purchasing costs and in keeping our own direct operating costs under control have made little impact.
As a direct result of the latest daily increases received from the refineries and wholesale markets, and in addition to the already sustained and unprecedented high levels of pricing, we have no alternative other than to re-position our prices in the market place. Consequently, as from the 7th July 2008, prices will be increased as follows: -
We, as a Responsible supplier, have made every effort to absorb these increases, reducing costs, changing work patterns and have been successful in holding our surcharges firm for more than Four months until now. We cannot sustain this continuous level of producer led price increases any longer and continue pricing at our low levels.
