More about ARCAL™ Force — 18% carbon dioxide in argon
ARCAL™ Force is one of Air Liquide's leading branded products. It belongs to the premium products of the ARCAL™ Reference Line – high-quality shielding gases for arc welding – all of which are characterized by consistent product specifications.
Applications of ARCAL™ Force
With ARCAL™ Force, you're using an excellent shielding gas for your welding work. This brand-name product is a great choice for MAG welding (Metal Active Gas welding). It's universally applicable for MAG welding of unalloyed and low-alloy steels (such as structural steel), but is particularly well-suited for welding thick sheets.
What are my benefits from ARCAL™ Force?
ARCAL™ Force is the safe solution for worry-free gas metal arc welding. The primary factor in choosing the right gas is its high reliability in daily use. A second selection criterion is ease of handling for the user. And last but not least, the consistently high quality of the gas (resulting in a low -porosity weld) ensures optimal weld quality.
Your advantages in detail:
Reliability:
• 18% carbon dioxide in argon
• Product meets the requirements of ISO 14175-M21-ArC-18
• Low levels of H₂O and N₂ impurities
MAG welding of unalloyed steels
Simplicity
• Applicable to all welding positions
• Particularly suitable for welding thick-walled workpieces
• Suitable for manual and automated welding
Especially suitable for thick sheets of metal.
Performance
• Very good burn-in
• Low-porosity weld
Multi-layer welding – vertical-up weld
Features and characteristics of ARCAL™ Force
ARCAL™ Force has a composition of 18% CO₂ in argon. The product is standardised according to ISO 14175-M21-ArC-18 and integrated into group M 21.
The gas composition is characterized by a soft spray arc and ensures good to very good penetration. The shielding gas is suitable for all arc types and ensures good gap bridging in short arc applications. The following overview lists the properties and special features of ARCAL™ Force:
Good melting performance, especially with thick sheets.
Universally applicable, therefore any required quality of weld joint is possible.
Suitable for all welding positions
Good gap bridging capability and suitability for constrained positions in short arcs
When is ARCAL™ Force the right product for me?
ARCAL™ Force is suitable for both manual and automated welding. It ensures excellent penetration and weld quality. This mixed gas is among the most powerful shielding gases and can be used in all welding positions. Even under challenging conditions – such as with surface-contaminated workpieces – you can rely on ARCAL™ Force.
Delivery form(s) of ARCAL™ Force
ARCAL™ Force ensures a reliable gas supply tailored to your needs. The products are available in protective gas cylinders with innovative valves, in cylinder bundles, and as a liquid supply system.
