Brexit General Statement

Based on the results of the EU Referendum on 23 June 2016, the UK has decided to leave the European Union. Today, the exact terms and impact of this withdrawal remain unclear. In light of this Air Liquide (Energas) is taking precautionary measures to minimise disruption whatever form the exit from the EU takes. Wherever possible, we have planned flexible options to allow us to continue serving our customers and trading with our suppliers.

In the UK, the majority of our products and services are manufactured or sourced locally. Where we have products or services that may be impacted by Brexit, contingency plans have been formulated. Considerations include the potential impact of changes to tariffs and customs borders, the costs implications, administrative workload, policies and procedures, together with the effect of increased volatility of exchange rates. Where necessary, we have also undertaken a review of our supply chain on raw materials and components to mitigate the impact of any major changes following Brexit.

A world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, Air Liquide is a major supplier in Europe, with a strong presence in the UK. We will continue to provide updates as and when necessary and as soon as is reasonably practicable. We remain fully committed to our UK operations and customers.
